Plan B: your own way to freedom.
Plan A: work until the state says you may stop, then hope the pension is enough. I did the maths. It isn’t. Plan B is a short course that gets you from “I should really do something” to a plan that runs on its own. No politician required.

// the map
Eight levels. No boss fight.
Every level: ten minutes of reading, one mission, one quiz. All levels are open. The order is there for a reason, but hey, it’s your life.
- 0The bug reportFewer workers, more pensioners, same promises. Pay-as-you-go pensions across Europe in OECD numbers, Germany as the worked example. Bonus, not plan.+100 XP

- 2Fix the leaksEmergency fund, expensive debt, hidden fees. Patch the holes first, then automate. Otherwise you’re investing into a bucket with no bottom.+100 XP
- 3The engineCompounding, shares, diversification and index funds. How the engine behind Plan B works, and why a calm savings account is the riskier bet.+100 XP
- 4Build the machineA regulated broker, one global UCITS equity ETF, a safe part, a split you can sleep with and a monthly savings plan. One evening. No bank adviser needed.+100 XP

// how it works
Read. Do. Level up.
One idea per level, maths included. No filler, no 40-minute video that could’ve been a paragraph.
Small tasks you can finish today: find a number, open a statement, set up a transfer.
Three questions. Get one wrong and it explains itself. You learn either way, and nobody calls your parents.
Completely useless in shops. Surprisingly motivating anyway.
// the price tag
Free. Forever.
Nobody taught you this at school, and that’s the whole reason this course exists. So it costs nothing, today and in ten years. Every level, every mission, every calculator. Knowing how money works shouldn’t depend on whether you can afford a course about money.
the deal
- No paywall, now or later
- No sign-up and no e-mail gate
- No “free webinar” that ends in a sales pitch
- No tracking. Your progress stays in your browser
If it helped, send it to someone who still thinks the state has a plan for them.
// questions
Before you start.
Is it really free?
Yes. All levels are open, no sign-up, no e-mail gate, no “free webinar” that ends in a sales pitch. And it stays that way: the course is free forever, every level of it.
Where is my progress stored?
In your own browser. Nothing goes to a server, because your data is none of my business. Downside: new browser, new game. Reset it whenever you like.
Is this investment advice?
No. It’s education. I explain how things work and show the maths, the decisions are yours. For personal advice you need someone who knows your situation and is licensed for it.
Which country is this for?
Any country in Europe. Maths doesn’t stop at the border, and ageing doesn’t either. The examples come from several countries. Germany shows up most, because I know it best and it makes a fine warning.
How long does it take?
About two hours of reading in total, plus the missions. One level per evening is a good pace. Your streaming queue will survive.
Education, not advice. I don’t know your situation, and past returns promise nothing. Check my numbers, then make your own call. You’re a grown-up.
